A sterling silver and gilt lined pocket or purse flask. This is a stunning little pocket sized flask that can be for a man or a woman. The shape is very ergonomic in the palm, the quality and make of the piece is superb. The flask has its bayonet style fitting with cork liner in the lid of the flask which works very perfectly.
The front of the flask has a beautifully hand engraved heraldic crest of a crown sitting below an arm in medieval suit of armour clutching an anchor, with the rope falling back down around the arm.
The flask was made in Birmingham, England, in 1898. The makers mark is partially rubbed but appears to be by the silversmith's Kemp Brothers. The flask is in superb condition and is all original, having never been overly polished, and will serve as a usable and perfect size for taking to the game, or for a shooting or fishing trip.
