An uncommon and seldom seen Longines Flagship Deluxe reference 1503. The deluxe denoting that the dial is made out of solid 18kt rose gold. Around the perimeter of dial one can appreciate a roped chapter ring. This example features the charming medallion. This watch comes just a short 3 years after the Flagship was first launched by Longines in 1957. The concept of model lines was popularized in the 50s and, with Longines specifically, started with the Conquest. The Flagship that came later was aimed their attempt to appeal to the luxury spectrum of the market.

DIAL: The deluxe notation indicates that this dial is made out of 18kt gold. There are some imperfections on the dial that can be seen in the photographs. It features rose gold applied stick hour indices and dauphine hands. It is non luminous. 

CASE: The solid 18kt yellow gold 34mm is in good shape.  The case has been lightly polished in the past. The stepped lugs retain strong lines. The case presents with wear commensurate with its 64 years of age. It features a snap caseback with a wonderful gold medallion located in the center. The case is fully signed and hallmarked as it should be. It is completed by the watches original crown - a rare find some 60 years later. 

MOVEMENT: Longines automatic caliber 380. The rotor for the movement is missing. The watch still functions without the rotor. The service history is unknown. The watch was placed on a timegrapher which illustrated that it is keeping time within 81 seconds per day and has an amplitude of 183. The watch can be serviced for approximately $325 plus parts. If serviced the watch will come with a one year warranty.
