The Mares Flexa 5.4.3. is a Trilastic material suit which means it consists of varying ultra-stretch neoprene thicknesses. It is designed to protect in key areas and be flexible in others. For example, it has a Thermo Plush lining at the chest to retain your core temperature. This plush lining also dries quickly between dives. An additional neoprene panel cushions the spine and shoulders. This is otherwise known as a “back protection system” and is extra padding where the tank sits on your back. This gives both added support and additional warmth to a body area sensitive to the cold. The 4 and 3mm panels are to provide more flexibility in areas that require more movement such as behind the knees and under the arms.

The Flexa has double glideskin at the ankles, wrist and neck to slow flushing; it has a front entry slightly off-centre zip with neoprene flap which makes it easy to don and doff; the flatlock stitching is designed to be comfortable against bare skin. Its ergonomic design helps prevent strains and cramps while getting suited up.

There is an optional which secures to the thigh with a clip and Velcro. It is strong and stretchy with secure bungees inside for carrying accessories. The suit also has an integrated retaining ring to hold the divers hood and instrument grips at the wrists. This wetsuit is suitable for diving in temperate water.
