Originally introduced in 1952, the Constellation was Omegas flagship model.  Initially, it was revealed as a 4 digit reference with beautiful lyre lugs. Over the years its case design and dial appearance evolved over time. 
     This example, a 5 digit reference 14902, features a set of "dog-leg" lugs touted as being designed from the famous Gerald Genta who - amongst other designs - created the Patek Phillipe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.
     The watch is accompanied by its original box and papers which are stamped commemorating the movement achieving "Especially Good Results" during its time in Geneva. A full set from 1962 and now here in our vintage watch shop. We couldn't be happier!

DIAL:  The original, silver, crosshair piepan dial is in fantastic condition. The dial appears to be free of any patina, strains, scratches or blemishes. 

CASE: The previously polished 34mm gold cap over steel case in good condition. The case presents with minimal wear throughout. The gold that spilled over during the capping process can still be appreciated on the posterior portion of all four lugs. The gold medallion is in great condition with a nice crisp observatory and stars. The caseback has one deeper scratch that can be observed in the pictures. The case has the modern service replacement thin decagonal crown. The case is completed by the original omega signed crystal. 

MOVEMENT: Omega caliber 561. Automatic self winding, 24 jewels, 19800A/h with 50 hour power reserve. Service history is unknown. The watch was timed over 24hrs. The 24hrs included periods of wear and non-wear and compared to atomic EST. Over those 24hrs the watch lost 4 seconds. 

BRACELET: Comes on the pictured handmade Belgium strap. 

ACCESSORIES: Comes with original inner box and papers. Papers are stamped with “especially good results.”
