Introduced in 1967 the Seamaster Cosmic offers a lot of options to prospective collectors. Produced into the mid 1970s, the cosmic came in a wide variety of dial options, complications and materials. With its funky C case, these models just oozed 1970s.
This example, a reference 166.023 is one we are pleased to offer. The watch is in overall great vintage condition. It features a knockout blueish gunmetal sunburst dial with unique hour markers all encased in an unpolished case. It also comes on its original bracelet which is uncommon to find for these references.

CASE: The 34mm x 36mm lug to lug stainless steel case is unpolished. All four lugs and case retain their factory original anterior brushed finish with contrasting mirror polished midcase. The case features its original crown. The seamaster hippocampus can be appreciated on the caseback. The case overall presents with even wear throughout commensurate for its age.
DIAL: The original bluish gunmetal grey sunburst dial is in great shape. The dial appears to be free from any scratches or staining. The dial sports alternated art deco and baton style hour markers and pencil hands. Some of the lume plots have washed away.
MOVEMENT: Omega automatic caliber 562 / 565. Automatic self winding. Service history is unknown. The watch was placed on a timegrapher and showed that it was gaining approximately 2 seconds a day with an amplitude of 322. The watch can be serviced by one of our watchmakers prior to shipment should the buyer be interested. Cost for service without parts is approximately $325. Please just let us know.
BRACELET: Comes on the watches original, Omega signed, stainless steel , 7 row beads of rice bracelet complete with the correct 513 end links and Omega stamped clasp. Uncommon to find these examples with their original bracelets. Bracelet fits a wrist up to 8 inches.
