CASE: The 39mm is in excellent shape and seemingly has remained unpolished - exactly what we like to see with these vintage tool watches. The lugs and crown guard remain nice and thick. The larger bevels from the era have all remained distinctly intact and are prominent. The original brushed finish on the anterior portion of all four lugs is clearly visible. The case is completed by the watches original high dome crystal

BEZEL: We have the original and highly desirable Mark 2 Long 5 insert. The insert is in good condition with minimal wear compared to its age. 

DIAL: An original and rare glossy dial. The glossy dial 7928 submariner was only produced for one year before the manufacturer transitioned back to matte dials. The dial has developed two distinctly unique patinas: 1) a dark camo green on the hour and minute hand as well as the 8 -1 o'clock hour markers. 2) A beautiful cream patina on the second hand and 2 - 7 o'clock hour markers. The lume on the dial is all original. It is presumed that the watch suffered from moisture intrusion at one point in its life while it was stored crown down. As moisture rises the resulting effect is the patina we see developed today. 

MOVEMENT: The automatic caliber 390. A Tudor modified, Flurier based self winding movement with a beat frequency of 18,000. The watch winds, sets, and runs. The watch was placed on a timegrapher which illustrated that it is keeping time within 22 seconds per day and has an amplitude of 270. The watch can be serviced for $325 plus parts (if necessary). If serviced the watch will come with a one year warranty.
